Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds Helps Launch Grow Lee 2.0
August 10, 2016 - Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds helped launch Grow Lee 2.0 with Lee County EDG. Over 130 community leaders came together to support the expansion of Grow Lee. The program started with 10 workforce initiatives aimed to develop a pipeline of skilled workers for local employers.

“I think, truly, it’s an exciting time to be in Iowa,” Reynolds told the group at Comfort Inn & Suites. “There truly are some great things going on in Iowa, and you all are a part of that. We’re still a state that’s growing, and we have a good foundation to build on. It’s exciting because I think it’s a transformational time.”

The organization’s next steps, Grow Lee 2.0, includes going beyond workforce and impacting areas such as Lee County’s Image and Future Lee. Lee County Image will be taking a critical look at Lee County’s image to create an action plan to with the public relations battle for Lee County, changing the narrative to the positive and growth happening. Future Lee will be looking at our long-term initiatives we are able to start today to transform Lee County through 2026. This will require some big ideas as to where we want to be in 2026 and actionable items to accomplish measurable results.
